First Regional Conference on Developing Service Markets and Value Chains, Jordan, February 2007 (English / Arabic)

Description This Conference lasted 2.5 days, and included about 100 participants from many countries in the Arabic-speaking region. Many substantive case studies were presented, and are posted below in the order in which they were given. For the moment, however, the presentation by ACDI/VOCA Egypt on the use of market intelligence is not posted below, as it is too large. Some unsolicited comments on the event:
"I wish to tell you how much I enjoyed my stay in Jordan last week and to thank you for the excellent organisation of the Conference. I believe all the participants went home with something new in their hands and minds. I certainly did."
"I believe that the network inaugurated and the contacts established during the conference were as valuable as the conference itself. This is to express our gratitude for the venture, opportunity and most importantly all support given throughout the preparatory phases to the conference and the actual event itself."
"I found it a very worth while experience."
The Conference will be held again at the same time next year, and proposals for presentations are already being invited.
